Few English Midlands clubs carry the pedigree of South Staffordshire Golf Club. Founded in 1892, the course was designed by Harry Vardon — 6-time Open Champion and one of the most influential figures in golf history — making it one of the more historically significant layouts in the region. It sits on the western edge of Wolverhampton, set across gently rolling heathland that gives it the classic feel of a late-Victorian English parkland-meets-heath design.
The course plays to a genuine test across its full extent, rewarding accurate ball-striking and course management over raw power.
