Few Dutch golf clubs carry as much history as 't Jagerspaadje, which shares its home in the Hilversum forest landscape with the nearby Hilversumsche Golf Club — one of the Netherlands' oldest and most celebrated courses. This corner of Noord-Holland, where the sandy heathland and pine woods of the Gooi region begin to assert themselves, has long been considered the heartland of Dutch golf, and 't Jagerspaadje sits comfortably within that tradition.
The course occupies a woodland setting typical of the Gooi: firm, sandy subsoil beneath a canopy of conifers and birch, with heather lining the corridors when conditions allow. This terrain rewards precise ball-striking over raw power, and the natural topography means even a modest layout can present genuine strategic interest. Autumn play here, with the forest floor turning amber and the air carrying a northern crispness, is a particular pleasure.
As a more accessible club within a region that also hosts prestigious private venues, 't Jagerspaadje offers members and visitors a genuine taste of Dutch woodland golf without the formality of its more exclusive neighbors.
