Few public golf facilities in New Jersey carry the pedigree of Flanders Valley. The course is owned and operated by Morris County, and it actually comprises two distinct 18-hole layouts — the Red/Gold and White/Blue combinations — routed across gently rolling terrain in the hills of northwestern New Jersey. The design work is credited to Hal Purdy, and the facility has long been regarded as one of the better county-run golf operations in the entire state, drawing players from across the region who want a genuine test without a private club price tag.
