Eganridge Resort sits on the shores of Sturgeon Lake in the Kawartha Lakes region of Ontario — one of cottage country's most storied stretches of Canadian Shield landscape, where rocky outcroppings, mixed hardwood forest, and some 250 interconnected lakes define both the scenery and the terrain underfoot. The course plays through this distinctly Canadian environment, with the lake never far from view and the natural topography providing elevation changes and visual drama that no architect could fully manufacture.
As a resort property, Eganridge draws a mix of destination golfers and regional regulars who pair their round with the spa, dining, and accommodations the property is known for in the Kawarthas. The setting is genuinely scenic — mature trees frame most fairways, and the Shield's granite geology occasionally pushes through where you'd least expect it.
The Kawartha Lakes area sees a relatively short but enthusiastic golf season, and Eganridge captures the best of it: a course that rewards careful shot-making without demanding perfection, in a setting that makes the whole experience feel unhurried and worth the drive.
