One of the older private clubs on the Kitsap Peninsula, Kitsap Golf & Country Club has been a cornerstone of the local golf community in Bremerton for decades. The club sits in a part of Washington State defined by dense Pacific Northwest forest, the tidal waters of Puget Sound, and the kind of maritime climate that keeps the fairways green year-round — and occasionally tests your patience with low clouds and drizzle. That setting gives the course a character that is distinctly Northwestern: moody, verdant, and unhurried.
Bremerton itself is a naval town connected to Seattle by ferry across the Sound, and Kitsap G&CC has long served as the social and competitive hub for golfers on the western shore. Members-only clubs in this part of Washington tend to be unpretentious and community-rooted, more about belonging than exclusivity for its own sake.
The par-71 layout — slightly asymmetrical from a standard par — suggests a course shaped as much by the land as by a blueprint, the kind of routing where the terrain dictated the decisions.
