Queens Harbour Yacht & Country Club occupies a distinctive corner of Jacksonville's Intracoastal Waterway corridor, where the St. Johns River estuary shapes both the landscape and the identity of the club. The yacht-and-country format is genuinely integrated here — this is a waterfront community where the marina and the golf course are equally central to member life, not an afterthought pairing. That setting gives the course a coastal lowland character, with the salt-marsh vistas and tidal creek edges that define this stretch of northeast Florida's geography.
Tom Fazio designed the course, which opened in 1990 as the anchor amenity for the Queens Harbour residential community on the east side of Jacksonville. Fazio worked with the natural topography of the site, routing holes along and across the waterway fingers that cut through the property. Water comes into play on the majority of holes, which is less a gimmick than an honest reflection of where you are.
As a private members' club, Queens Harbour offers a relatively intimate experience by Jacksonville standards — a familiar, unhurried round for residents who've made this particular piece of Florida their home.
