Mogol Golf Club

Mogol Golf Club sits in one of South Africa's more unlikely golfing outposts — Lephalale, a hardworking coal-mining and energy town in the far northwest of Limpopo province, close to the Botswana border. The surrounding bushveld is classic Waterberg fringe country: flat to gently rolling, wide open under an enormous sky, with acacia and mopane scrub defining the landscape. Summers are fierce here, pushing temperatures well past 40°C, which gives the course a sun-baked, firm character that rewards ground game over aerial heroics.

As a club course serving a tight-knit mining community, Mogol carries that particular atmosphere of a course that means everything to its members — the kind of place where the same faces gather on weekend mornings, where the braai fires are lit before the last group finishes, and where local knowledge matters enormously.
