Few golf courses anywhere in the American Southwest can claim a backdrop quite like this one. Page sits at the edge of the Colorado Plateau in northern Arizona, where the landscape is defined by sandstone canyon walls, red-rock mesas, and the shimmering blue expanse of Lake Powell itself — one of the largest reservoirs in the United States. Page is a small town that exists largely because of Glen Canyon Dam, completed in 1963, and the recreational economy that grew around the lake. Lake Powell National is the community's primary public course, serving both locals and the steady stream of visitors who come to boat, hike, and explore the nearby slot canyons of Antelope Canyon — one of the most photographed natural formations on earth.
