Weimar sits at a crossroads of Texas — Colorado County, about halfway between Houston and San Antonio along I-10, where the coastal plain begins its slow rise toward the Hill Country. It's working ranchland and farmland out here, a landscape defined by wide skies, live oaks, and the kind of unhurried pace that's largely disappeared from the cities on either end of that highway. Golf in this part of Texas tends to be community-rooted, practical, and unpretentious — courses built by and for the people who live there, not destination travelers passing through.
Weimar Golf Club fits that mold. An 18-hole layout serving a small town of roughly 2,000 people, it's the kind of place where the same faces show up on weekend mornings, where everyone knows your handicap, and where the game is played for the right reasons. Expect a course shaped more by local terrain and volunteer effort than by a prominent design firm.
Colorado County's climate means playing through genuine seasons — humid Gulf summers, mild winters, and spring conditions that can be genuinely lovely when the weather cooperates.
