The lakeside setting is the first thing to know about Los Eucaliptus — the course sits alongside Embalse Reservoir, the enormous man-made lake created by the Río Tercero dam in the 1970s that defines this corner of the Calamuchita Valley. Embalse is a small resort town roughly 100 kilometers south of Córdoba city, historically tied to the nuclear power plant that borders the reservoir — an unusual neighbor that gives the town a particular, workmanlike character distinct from the more tourist-polished villages up the valley like Villa General Belgrano.
