Franconia sits in the heart of the White Mountains, in the shadow of Cannon Mountain and the Franconia Notch corridor — one of New Hampshire's most dramatic stretches of landscape. The Profile Club takes its name from the Old Man of the Mountain, the famous rock formation that defined this region's identity for generations before its collapse in 2003. A private membership club in a small mountain town, it carries the unhurried, community-rooted character typical of northern New England golf: members who know every quirk of the place, and a course shaped as much by the surrounding terrain as by any architect's hand.
Mountain golf in this part of New Hampshire means elevation change, mature hardwood and conifer canopy, and a season compressed into the warmer months. Conditions shift quickly in the notch, and the landscape itself becomes part of the strategic equation.
As a private club, the Profile Club is a place built around belonging — a gathering point for the local community and seasonal residents who return to the White Mountains year after year.
