Few courses anywhere wear their pedigree more openly than this one. Designed by Jack Nicklaus and set within the Atlantis resort complex on Paradise Island, the layout sits at the heart of one of the Caribbean's most ambitious hospitality destinations — a place where the golf is genuinely world-class rather than an afterthought to the beach and casino. Nicklaus shaped the course to make dramatic use of the island's waterways and tropical landscaping, and water is the defining character here: it comes into play on the majority of holes, demanding both precision off the tee and honest course management from players of every level.
Paradise Island sits just across the Nassau Harbour bridge from downtown Nassau, and the setting offers that particular blend of turquoise water, swaying palms, and Caribbean light that makes even a routine round feel like something worth remembering. The Bahamian heat and trade winds add genuine variables to club selection.
For resort golf, the standard here is legitimately high. Visitors tend to arrive expecting a pretty but forgiving island track and leave with a more complicated scorecard than they anticipated.
