Grand Ledge is one of those mid-Michigan towns that earns its name honestly — the Grand River here cuts through exposed Pennsylvanian-age sandstone ledges, a geological oddity that draws kayakers, climbers, and hikers to Fitzgerald Park just steps from the water. It's an unlikely but genuinely distinctive backdrop for a round of golf, and Ledge Meadows sits within this same river-valley landscape, where the terrain shifts between open meadow stretches and the kind of subtle, glacially shaped topography that defines so much of the Lower Peninsula's inland golf.
