Balbirnie Park occupies one of Fife's more quietly distinguished settings — a parkland layout threaded through the grounds of a historic estate on the western edge of Glenrothes, with the 18th-century Balbirnie House standing as a backdrop that few Scottish courses can rival. The course was developed within the estate's mature woodland and open parkland, and that combination — sheltered corridors of hardwood trees giving way to broader, more exposed stretches — defines both the visual character and the strategic variety on offer here.

As a members' club in the heart of Fife, Balbirnie sits in one of Scotland's richest counties for golf.
