Few private clubs on the Front Range carry the mystique that Ravenna does. Designed by Tom Weiskopf and opened in the early 2000s, the course is carved through a dramatic canyon setting in the foothills southwest of Denver, where the terrain does most of the talking. Ravenna plays across rugged, native landscapes — exposed rock outcroppings, native grasses, and dramatic elevation changes that would feel at home in the mountain courses farther west, yet it sits close enough to the city to be a genuine everyday escape for its membership.
Weiskopf's design philosophy leans on strategic variety over brute length, rewarding players who think their way around rather than simply overpower it. The routing makes exceptional use of the natural contours, and the conditioning is consistently cited among the best in Colorado — a state that demands serious attention to course maintenance given its high-altitude climate and short growing season.
Littleton itself sits at the southern edge of metro Denver, with the Rockies visible on the horizon on virtually any clear day. For members, Ravenna represents a rare combination: genuine mountain character without the drive.
