Few settings in South American golf match the raw drama of Mendoza's backdrop. The Andes rise to the west in almost theatrical fashion, and Golf Club Andino sits within that frame — a layout shaped by the high-desert landscape of one of Argentina's most celebrated wine regions. The dry, clear air and the mountain panorama give the course a sense of place that's genuinely hard to replicate anywhere else in the world.
Mendoza itself is a city of wide, tree-lined boulevards and a deeply rooted outdoor culture, and golf here carries a social weight typical of Argentina's established private clubs. The region's semi-arid climate means firm, fast conditions much of the year, with the prevailing Zonda wind off the mountains capable of turning a straightforward round into something considerably more demanding.
At par 70, the course plays shorter than a traditional championship layout, which tends to reward precision and course management over raw power — a format that suits the city's club membership culture and keeps the round engaging at any handicap level.
