Brookwater Golf Club

Greg Norman's design fingerprints are all over Brookwater, one of the most celebrated parkland layouts in Queensland. Opened in 2003 as the centerpiece of the master-planned Springfield community southwest of Brisbane, the course quickly earned a reputation as among the finest Greg Norman Golf Course Design creations in the southern hemisphere — consistently ranked in Australia's top 20 and a legitimate contender for the country's best parkland track.

The design makes full use of Springfield's undulating terrain, with mature trees framing fairways, dramatic elevation changes, and water hazards threading through multiple holes. Norman's characteristic preference for wide, strategic corridors rewards aggressive play off the tee but demands precise approach work, and the greens are known to be among the most challenging in the region. The course doesn't have a throwaway hole on the back nine in particular.

Springfield itself sits roughly 30 kilometres southwest of Brisbane's CBD, part of one of Australia's largest master-planned urban developments. The broader Southeast Queensland region offers a strong golf culture and a subtropical climate that keeps the course in play year-round.
