Westfields Golf Club sits in Clifton, one of the quieter corners of Northern Virginia — a small historic town that has largely resisted the suburban sprawl pressing in from every direction. The course occupies a landscape shaped by the Piedmont foothills, where rolling terrain and mature hardwood forest give a round a genuine sense of remove, even with the Washington metro area not far away.
The club operates as a public-access facility, and it has built a solid reputation among the region's competitive daily-fee golfers over the years. Rees Jones designed Westfields, giving it the measured, strategic character his work is known for — fairways that reward positioning off the tee, greens with enough movement to make club selection and approach angle matter. A par 71 layout suggests at least one fewer par 5 than most courses, which tends to sharpen the scoring drama on the holes that remain.
Northern Virginia's golf scene is active and year-round in mild stretches, with fall rounds through turning oak and maple canopy among the more memorable the mid-Atlantic corridor offers.
