Few public courses in central Illinois carry the reputation that The Rail does. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1963, the course built its name on the LPGA Tour circuit, hosting the Rail Charity Classic for decades and introducing generations of fans to players like Kathy Whitworth, Nancy Lopez, and Annika Sorenstam.
