Maple City Country Club has been a fixture of golf in Chatham, Ontario for well over a century — the club traces its roots to the early 1900s, making it one of the older established clubs in southwestern Ontario. The "Maple City" nickname is Chatham's own, a nod to the maples that have long defined the town's tree-lined streets, and those same hardwoods give the course its seasonal character: lush green canopies in summer, brilliant colour through autumn, and bare winter skeletons that reveal the course's bone structure in a way warm-weather visitors never see.
