Golf de Montpellier Massane has earned a reputation as one of the most distinguished courses in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, designed by Ronald Fream and opened in 1989. Fream, who worked extensively across Europe and Asia, shaped the layout around the garrigue landscape characteristic of this corner of southern France — scrubby Mediterranean oak, rosemary, and rocky outcroppings that give the course a rugged, aromatic personality entirely its own. It has consistently ranked among the top courses in France and serves as the flagship of regional golf in the Hérault department.
