Few golf experiences in Europe carry quite the sense of arrival that Is Molas does. Set in the rolling Campidano plain of southern Sardinia, the course occupies a landscape of cork oak, Mediterranean scrub, and red earth that feels unmistakably its own — far from the manicured uniformity of mainland resort golf. The club has long been considered one of Sardinia's finest inland layouts, a meaningful counterpoint to the island's more glamorous Costa Smeralda courses to the north.
The design works with the natural contours of the terrain rather than against them, producing a course that rewards local knowledge and thoughtful shot selection. Fairways thread through mature vegetation, and the greens have a subtlety that punishes inattention. It plays as a genuine test at any level, with enough variety to hold interest across multiple rounds.
Pula itself is a modest, unhurried town on Sardinia's southwestern coast, within easy reach of the ancient Phoenician ruins at Nora and the beaches of the Chia coast. Is Molas suits golfers who want serious golf alongside real Sardinian character, not just a backdrop for a holiday.
