Kissimmee sits at the heart of Central Florida's golf corridor, where the combination of year-round sunshine, flat terrain, and abundant water has made the region one of the most golf-dense stretches in the country. The area draws a steady mix of vacationing families, serious tourists, and locals who treat the courses here as their everyday backyard — and competition among layouts keeps standards honest.
Stonegate Golf Club operates as a 36-hole facility, and the Cypress Course takes its name from the cypress trees and wetland edges that frame much of the property. That natural vegetation is genuinely characteristic of this part of Osceola County — Spanish moss, palmettos, and the shallow lakes and ponds that define Central Florida's low-lying landscape. Water comes into play on multiple holes, and the Bermuda grass fairways and greens behave the way Central Florida turf does: firm in dry stretches, receptive after afternoon thunderstorms.
As a value-oriented public facility near the tourist corridor, Stonegate caters to players of all levels — it's a place where a family on a Disney-area vacation and a local Tuesday-morning regular can both find a comfortable round.
