Melancthon Township sits on the high plateau of Dufferin County, one of the windiest corners of Ontario's agricultural heartland. The land here is open and exposed — rolling fields, grey-sky horizons, and that persistent Grey Highlands breeze that can make a calm morning round feel like a links battle by the back 9. It's farm country, unpretentious and wide open, about 90 minutes north of Toronto.
Dunadel Golf Association operates as a member-run club, the kind of democratic, community-rooted operation that forms the backbone of rural Canadian golf. Without a corporate owner or resort ambitions, the focus stays where it should: on the members, the round, and the camaraderie that comes from playing the same course across every season. These clubs tend to reward local knowledge — knowing which greens run fast after a dry stretch, or how the wind shifts off the fields on the back half.
For visitors, Dunadel offers an honest, unhurried game in a part of Ontario that rarely makes the golf glossies but deserves more credit for its rugged, working-landscape charm.
