El Dorado Golf & Beach Club occupies a dramatic stretch of the Baja California Sur coastline at the southern tip of the peninsula, where the desert meets the Sea of Cortez. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the course is widely regarded as one of the finest private layouts in Mexico and earns consistent recognition among the best courses in Latin America. Its oceanside terrain delivers the kind of scenery that stops you mid-swing — volcanic rock formations, crashing Pacific surf, and desert scrub framing nearly every hole.
San José del Cabo sits just east of the more raucous Cabo San Lucas, offering a slightly quieter, more refined atmosphere while still delivering the full Los Cabos experience. The climate is reliably sunny and warm, with cooling breezes off the water that become a genuine strategic factor on several holes along the ocean corridor.
El Dorado is a private members' club, which means access is limited and the conditions are immaculate. For those who do play it, the back-nine stretch along the water represents some of the most visually arresting golf the Baja peninsula has to offer.
