Mosquera sits on the Bogotá savanna, the high-altitude plateau that stretches west of the capital at roughly 2,600 meters above sea level. At that elevation, the air is thin enough that the ball flies noticeably farther than it would at sea level — a genuine adjustment for visiting golfers accustomed to reading yardages at face value.
