Frosty Valley has long been one of central Pennsylvania's most respected private clubs, occupying a stretch of rolling Susquehanna Valley countryside outside Danville that rewards the eye as reliably as it challenges the card. The property takes its name from the cool hollow terrain that shapes its character — elevation changes, tree-lined corridors, and the kind of firm, fescue-rough edges that reward precise ball-striking over raw distance.
Danville sits in Montour County, one of Pennsylvania's smallest and least-trafficked counties, which gives the club a genuine sense of remove from the wider golf circuit. The surrounding landscape is classic Pennsylvania hardwood country — oaks, maples, and hickories that turn spectacular in autumn and frame nearly every hole on the back nine. The Susquehanna River itself runs close enough to the region that the low-lying topography brings morning mist and softer conditions than courses at higher elevation nearby.
