Few golf clubs in Oklahoma carry the historical weight of Dornick Hills. The course was designed by Perry Maxwell, one of America's most influential golden-age architects — the same mind behind Southern Hills, Prairie Dunes, and significant work at Augusta National and Crystal Downs. Maxwell grew up in Ardmore, and Dornick Hills was essentially his home course and an early proving ground for the ground-hugging, contour-driven design philosophy that would define his legacy. Playing here means walking ground that shaped one of golf's great designers.
Maxwell's fingerprints are everywhere: firm, rolling fairways that reward the ground game, greens with subtle but decisive movement, and a natural use of southern Oklahoma's terrain rather than a fight against it.
