Golfclub Entfelden occupies a stretch of the Aar valley floor in the canton of Aargau, one of Switzerland's more understated but genuinely productive golfing cantons. The club sits near Oberentfelden, a quiet community in the greater Aarau agglomeration, where the Swiss Mittelland opens into a broad, agricultural plain framed by distant ridgelines. It is decidedly a member-focused club — the kind of place that serves the local and regional golf community rather than chasing destination traffic, with an atmosphere that reflects the orderly, unpretentious character of this part of German-speaking Switzerland.
The setting on relatively flat valley terrain means the design works with subtle landforms, water features, and tree-lined boundaries rather than dramatic elevation change. Conditions in the Aar lowlands tend toward the soft side in spring and autumn, and the backdrop of the Jura foothills gives the course a pleasant framing even when the weather is unremarkable.
Aargau itself has a quietly healthy golf infrastructure, and Entfelden fits naturally into that ecosystem — a solid, well-maintained members' club where the emphasis is on consistent, enjoyable golf in a calm corner of the Swiss countryside.
