Kytäjä Golf

Few Finnish clubs have pursued scale and ambition quite like Kytäjä. Built around the Kytäjä manor estate in the forests of Häme, the club has grown into one of the largest golf complexes in the Nordic countries, eventually operating multiple 18-hole courses across the same sprawling property. The manor house itself dates back centuries, giving the grounds a sense of history that most Finnish courses — many carved out of farmland or spruce forest in the post-1990s golf boom — simply cannot match.

The courses wind through classic southern Finnish landscape: dense stands of pine and birch, glacially sculpted ridges, and the quiet lakes that define the Uusimaa-Häme border country. This is not links golf or parkland in any British sense — it is something distinctly Scandinavian, where the forest presses close and the light in midsummer barely fades.

Kytäjä has positioned itself firmly at the premium end of Finnish golf, drawing players from Helsinki, less than an hour south, who are looking for a round that feels genuinely removed from the city.
