Few collegiate golf facilities anywhere in the world match the pedigree of Karsten Creek, the home course of Oklahoma State University's men's and women's golf programs — programs that have produced an extraordinary number of PGA and LPGA Tour professionals. Designed by Tom Fazio and opened in 1994, the course was built with serious championship intent from the start, and it has delivered: it has hosted multiple NCAA Championships and consistently ranks among the finest university-affiliated courses in the country, frequently appearing on national Top 100 lists.
Fazio routed the layout across the rolling Cross Timbers terrain of north-central Oklahoma, where post oaks and blackjacks frame corridors of Bermuda fairway and the course's centerpiece — a large creek-fed lake — comes dramatically into play on several holes. The land has a rugged, native character that feels genuinely Oklahoman rather than manufactured, and the conditioning standard is kept tournament-ready year-round.
Access is restricted to members and OSU-affiliated guests, which gives Karsten Creek an exclusive quality unusual even for private clubs. Playing here means stepping onto a course where future Tour players have competed — and where the bar for every aspect of the experience is set accordingly.
