Cordova Bay Golf Course - Bay Course

Cordova Bay Golf Course sits on the Saanich Peninsula northeast of Victoria, British Columbia, occupying a stretch of gently rolling terrain where the land opens toward the waters of Cordova Bay. Designed by Bill Robinson and opened in 1991, it was built with an unusually ambitious scope for a public facility — a full 18-hole championship layout alongside the shorter 9-hole Shoreline Course — and quickly established itself as one of the premier public-access venues on Vancouver Island.

The Bay Course plays across terrain shaped by mature Garry oak groves and Douglas fir stands that define the Pacific Northwest coastal landscape, with water features and carefully positioned bunkering adding genuine strategic weight throughout. It rewards players who manage their angles off the tee, and the combination of sea air and firm links-adjacent conditions gives it a character distinct from courses farther inland.
