Weddington sits in the southern reaches of the Charlotte metro, where Union County's rolling Piedmont terrain offers the kind of gently contoured land that lends itself naturally to golf. Club at Longview occupies this landscape as a private club — the sort of members' community that has become increasingly common in the fast-growing suburbs southeast of Charlotte, where residential golf developments followed the population surge that transformed this corner of North Carolina over the past few decades.
