The A/B course at Ko Olina Golf Club sits on the dry, sun-baked leeward coast of Oahu, where trade winds blow steadily off the Pacific and the Waianae Mountains form a dramatic western backdrop. Ted Robinson designed the original layout, which opened in 1989 as part of the Ko Olina resort development — one of the few integrated golf-and-resort communities on an island where premium tee times are fiercely contested. Robinson's water-feature-heavy style is on full display here, with lakes, waterfalls, and fountains woven throughout in a way that's become a signature of the property.

The leeward side of Oahu plays differently than the windward or North Shore layouts — drier, hotter, and more exposed, with fewer of the lush mountain vistas and more of a sun-bleached resort feel. Ewa Beach and Ko Olina have grown dramatically since the course opened, now anchoring a corridor of hotels, residences, and the Four Seasons.

The course has hosted LPGA Tour events and remains one of Hawaii's more prominent resort tracks, drawing visitors staying along the Ko Olina shoreline who want a full-scale 18-hole experience between beach days.
