The Jockey Club de Tucumán is one of the most storied private institutions in the Argentine northwest, and its country course in Yerba Buena reflects the social and sporting traditions that have defined the club for well over a century. Yerba Buena sits at the foot of the Aconquija range, where the Sierra de San Javier rises sharply to the west and the city of San Miguel de Tucumán spreads out across the sugarcane lowlands to the east. The setting gives the course a distinctive microclimate — greener and cooler than much of the province — and a mountain backdrop that makes the experience feel removed from the urban bustle just minutes away.
At par 70, the layout leans shorter and more strategic than a championship test, rewarding precision and local knowledge over raw power. The best scores here are built with patience and placement, not length.
As a private members' club, the Jockey Club carries the atmosphere of Argentine golf at its most traditional — unhurried, convivial, and deeply connected to the region's close-knit social fabric.
