Brigantine is a barrier island just north of Atlantic City, and that geography shapes everything about playing golf here. The flat, open terrain and ever-present ocean winds are the real architects of the challenge — even a mid-length layout can play entirely differently depending on what's blowing in off the Atlantic on a given day. The name does real work. "Links" applied to a coastal New Jersey layout isn't just marketing — Brigantine's exposed, sandy-soiled barrier island environment is about as close to genuine links-style conditions as the Mid-Atlantic produces. The course sits within easy reach of Atlantic City's sprawling resort corridor, yet the island itself has a quieter, residential character that keeps the atmosphere grounded.
For golfers making a trip down the Shore, Brigantine rounds out a region with serious golf density. Atlantic City Country Club, Seaview, and others anchor the area's reputation, and The Links at Brigantine Beach offers an accessible, wind-tested option with a genuine sense of coastal place.
