Carruthers Creek Golf Club takes its name from the small watercourse that winds through this east Durham Region property, and water is very much part of the experience here. Ajax sits on the northern shore of Lake Ontario, and the flat to gently rolling terrain typical of this stretch of the Greater Toronto Area means the course plays open and exposed — a place where a southwest wind off the lake can quietly add strokes to a card before a golfer even notices.
