Oude Maas

Few courses in the Netherlands carry the kind of quiet authority that Oude Maas does. The club traces its roots to the early 1930s, making it one of the older established clubs in the region, and the layout occupies the distinctive polder landscape of the Hoeksche Waard and Albrandswaard — flat, reclaimed land shaped by centuries of water management, with the tidal Oude Maas river giving the club both its name and its most defining visual backdrop.

Rhoon sits just south of Rotterdam on the left bank of the river, and that urban proximity belies how genuinely rural and unhurried the course feels. Mature trees line many of the holes, and the course plays through a landscape that shifts between open meadow and more sheltered corridors — a combination that keeps the ever-present Dutch wind an active factor throughout the round without fully exposing every hole.
