Harmony Golf Preserve sits within the master-planned community of Harmony, about 25 miles southeast of Orlando, in a part of Osceola County that still feels a step removed from the relentless sprawl creeping outward from Disney's orbit. The course was designed by Ralph Plummer disciple and noted Florida architect Gary Koch — wait, let me be accurate: I don't have confirmed specific architect details for this course and won't invent them. What is certain is that the Harmony development was built around environmental stewardship principles, and the golf course reflects that ethos, routing through wetland corridors and natural conservation areas that give it a quieter, less manicured character than many Central Florida resort layouts.
Playing here feels meaningfully different from the manufactured drama of the tourist-corridor courses to the northwest. The terrain is gently rolling by Florida standards, with natural vegetation buffering many holes and water features that read as genuinely native rather than engineered.
This is a residential community course at heart — the kind of place where members walk familiar ground and visitors find a more unhurried pace than Orlando's busier golf destinations tend to offer.
