Few golf settings in the Caribbean carry the pedigree of Half Moon Golf Club. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., one of the 20th century's most prolific and influential architects, and it sits within the Half Moon resort complex east of Montego Bay — a property long regarded as one of Jamaica's grandest. Jones shaped a layout that works with the natural contours of the Jamaican coastline, and several holes play alongside or within sight of the turquoise water, giving the round a visual drama that no scorecard entry can convey.
Montego Bay itself is Jamaica's second city and its traditional tourism gateway, set on the island's northwest coast where the climate is reliably warm and the trade winds off the Caribbean Sea are a constant presence on the course — a real factor in club selection and shot shape, not merely scenic backdrop.
