Few university golf courses in the Midwest carry the institutional depth that Bloomington's home course does. Indiana University's program has long been a serious one in the Big Ten, and Pfau serves as both the team's home facility and a public-access course open to students, faculty, and the broader community — a dual role that gives it an uncommon energy, mixing competitive collegiate preparation with everyday recreational play.
