Landeryd Golf Club sits in the quiet parish of Brokind, a few kilometers southeast of Linköping in the heart of Östergötland. The club is one of the larger and more established golf operations in eastern Sweden, and the Vesterbybanan — the "Westerby course" — is the second 18-hole layout on the property, complementing the club's original main course. The broader Landeryd complex has long been a cornerstone of Östergötland's active golf scene, a region that punches well above its size in Swedish golf culture.
Östergötland's rolling, lake-dotted interior provides a genuinely appealing backdrop for golf. The terrain around Brokind is characteristically Swedish lowland — mixed forest of pine and birch framing the fairways, soft light in the long summer evenings, and that particular Scandinavian quietness that makes early-morning rounds feel almost private. The ground tends to be firm and receptive through the summer season, when daylight extends well past 9 p.m.
As the second course at a well-resourced club, the Vesterbybanan is oriented toward approachability and steady play, giving members a genuine alternative routing and visitors a relaxed entry point into what Landeryd offers as a complete golf destination.
