Sliač is one of Slovakia's better-known spa and resort towns, sitting in the Hron River valley in the heart of Banská Bystrica region — a landscape of forested hills, thermal springs, and the kind of unhurried Central European countryside that makes a round of golf feel like a genuine escape. The Tri Duby ("Three Oaks") resort has long been associated with this area's tradition of recreation and convalescence, and the golf course carries that relaxed but purposeful spirit into its design.
Playing to a par of 70, the course leans slightly shorter and more tactical than a traditional championship layout, rewarding placement and course management over raw power. The wooded terrain of this part of Slovakia gives the course natural definition — tree-lined corridors, elevation changes drawn from the valley's topography, and the kind of setting that makes you aware you're somewhere with real character.
For visiting golfers, this is resort golf in the Central European mold: accessible, scenic, and tied to a destination where the spa, the mountains, and the local hospitality are as much a part of the experience as the round itself.
