Jaju Country Club sits along the Han River corridor in Yeoju, one of Gyeonggi Province's most golf-saturated stretches of land. Yeoju has become a serious golf destination in its own right — roughly 90 minutes southeast of Seoul, the city draws city-based players looking to escape the capital without a long drive, and the surrounding countryside, defined by low ridgelines, broad agricultural plains, and the Namhan River, gives courses here a distinctly more open, pastoral character than the tighter mountain-valley layouts found deeper in the Korean highlands.
Gyeonggi Province as a whole hosts more golf facilities than any other region in South Korea, and courses in the Yeoju area tend to attract a membership and daily-fee clientele that takes the game seriously. The terrain around Yeoju allows for relatively generous fairway corridors compared to courses built across steeper topography, though the region's humid continental climate means pronounced seasonal conditions — firm and fast in autumn, soft and lush in the spring shoulder season.
As a country club in this corridor, Jaju likely draws members from the broader Seoul metropolitan area who value the combination of accessibility and a genuine break from the urban density that defines daily life in the capital.
