Waterford Golf Club

Waterford Golf Club carries one of the oldest golfing pedigrees in the southeast of Ireland, having been established in 1912 on the outskirts of the city at Newrath. The club has called this same ground home for well over a century, and the course has evolved gradually across that time while retaining the compact, intimate character that defines many of Ireland's mature parkland layouts. The design winds through mature tree-lined corridors, demanding accuracy off the tee more consistently than raw distance.

Waterford city itself sits at the confluence of the Suir and St. John's rivers, and the wider county offers some of the most varied golfing terrain in Munster — from links exposures along the Copper Coast to the sheltered inland parkland that Newrath represents. The club sits comfortably within that inland tradition.
