Jumeirah Golf Estates sits at the heart of Dubai's most ambitious golf development, a sprawling residential and leisure community in the city's southern reaches that has become one of the Middle East's premier destinations for the game. The complex is home to multiple championship courses, most famously Fire and Earth — 2 layouts designed by Greg Norman that have earned serious international standing. Earth, in particular, has hosted the DP World Tour Championship since 2009, the season-ending Rolex Series event that draws the European Tour's top 50 players competing for one of the richest prizes in golf. That alone places Jumeirah Golf Estates in genuinely elite global company.
Earth plays through a landscape of mature trees, natural waterways, and undulating terrain that feels surprisingly lush against Dubai's desert backdrop. Norman's design rewards strategic thinking over raw power, with approach angles and green complexes that demand precision. Fire offers a more open, links-influenced character with exposed fairways and a distinctly different rhythm.
Playing here means stepping onto ground walked by Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, and the world's best — a rare thing for a public-access facility in any city, let alone one that has built its entire golf identity in barely 3 decades.
