Bond Head is one of Ontario's more quietly respected private clubs, set in the rolling agricultural countryside of Simcoe County north of Toronto. The terrain here is genuinely undulating — drumlin topography shaped by glacial activity — and a good design uses that natural movement rather than fighting it. The Bond Head property does exactly that, routing holes through elevation changes and mature hardwood corridors that give the course a distinctly Canadian character: open skies, seasonal colour, and turf conditions that reward the short game as much as the long one.
Par 71 suggests something other than a straightforward test of length, and Bond Head leans into that with a layout where placement and course management matter more than raw distance. The mix of shorter par 4s and demanding par 3s puts a premium on ball-striking precision over power.
As a private members' club, the experience here is unhurried — smaller fields, well-maintained conditions, and the kind of familiarity with a course that only comes from belonging to it. For those with an invitation, it's a genuine slice of Ontario's inland golf culture.
