Guangxi's golf scene has grown quietly but steadily over the past two decades, and the courses attached to large residential developments have become a defining feature of that expansion. This course is part of Country Garden's (碧桂园) Phoenix City project — one of the developer's signature integrated communities that pair residential towers with leisure amenities, including golf, as a lifestyle anchor. Country Garden built dozens of such complexes across southern China during the 2000s and 2010s, and their golf courses typically offer a polished, manicured experience designed to complement the surrounding residential environment rather than challenge tournament-level players.
Wuzhou sits in eastern Guangxi where the Xun River meets the Gui River, not far from the Guangdong border — a lush, subtropical corridor of hills, waterways, and thick vegetation that gives any course here genuine natural character. The climate is warm and humid for much of the year, which keeps the turf green but demands respect from anyone who underestimates the thick rough that subtropical conditions can produce.
For residents and visitors alike, this is golf as daily lifestyle rather than pilgrimage destination — a well-kept, accessible layout where the surrounding greenery and river-valley topography do much of the scenic work.
