Öresunds Golfklubb sits in the flat, agricultural heartland of northwest Skåne, just inland from the strait that gives the club its name. The Öresund — the narrow channel separating Sweden from Denmark — defines this corner of southern Sweden, and on clear days the Danish coast is a visible presence across the water. Häljarp is a quiet village in Landskrona municipality, a part of Skåne where the landscape opens wide under enormous Nordic skies, with fields running to the horizon and the sea never far from mind.
Skåne is Sweden's most golf-dense region, and the clubs here tend to reflect the area's character: grounded, unpretentious, and genuinely community-oriented. A course named for the Öresund carries a natural identity rooted in that borderland geography, where Swedish and Danish golf cultures have long been in close conversation across the water.
For visiting golfers, the appeal is as much about the setting as the round itself — the particular quality of light over flat Skanian farmland, the maritime air, and the sense of playing in a landscape that feels distinctly and quietly itself.
