Golf de l'Hétrière

Golf de l'Hétrière sits on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River, in the borough of Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures just west of Québec City — one of the more scenic corridors of golf in the province. The course takes its name from the hêtraie, the beech forest that defines so much of the landscape here, and that canopy of hardwoods gives the layout a distinctly seasonal character: lush and cooling in summer, spectacular in the short but vivid Laurentian autumn.

The course is a well-regarded semi-private club in the greater Québec City market, which supports a surprisingly competitive golf scene given the compressed playing season that typically runs from late April through October.
